The basic overhaul of the layout is complete. The design is simple because if this website is going to get any bookmarks, readers, or comments, they should be about the content vice the design; although that is what this entry is about, the design. I am going to need design help on the following topic, asides.

Asides, IMO, are just links or bookmarks that you want to share with your readers. Kind of like del.icio.us but just local on your blog, plus, I don’t want to create a del.icio.us account. On my previous blog, I had the asides go right into the main content but with a different style which is pretty popular. When you subscribed to the main RSS feed you would automatically get the asides as well, and there was a separate feed for just asides and another for just post. From a SEO’s point of view, this was the most practical way of showing asides but then another group of people would have you believe that asides should be just that, asides from your main post. So you would have another place were asides would be posted. This throws us into a small see-saw with whether or not we should include asides in our main content or if we should divide them and have them appear on the sidebar.

Without any lucky silver dollars around, I turn to you for help in the area. The question being, would you like the asides to appear in the main post area with a different style then that of the main post, or should they be off to the sidebar where they will be in an unordered list?

Also, if you see anything that isn’t looking good or seems out of place like a Mexican in a Japanese tea party, tell me. I am still in the process of tightening a few bolts and oiling a few wheels around here.
